You may have noticed that most of my recent contributions have been taken quite literally from the side of a runway. The reason for this is that I have been helping out the school's flight team as part of the ground team. We go out and paint the chalk line across the runway and stand a few feet from the runway to judge the landings and help keep an eye on other airplanes that may be in the area. We carry radios to communicate with our planes and overall just serve as a second set of eyes for the pilots who are sometimes preoccupied with making a perfect landing on the chalk line.

With this cold air coming through, I'm hoping that it will cut down on the mosquito population enough that it's not a pain in the ass to stroll downtown and try to get some night photography in. Here lately they've been swarming and even OFF won't keep them at bay for long!
